- artificial sweeteners and additives
- alcohol
- caffeine
- sugar
- soft drinks
- unfiltered tap water and
The suprising foods on this list are
- milk and dairy foods
- gluten and wheat products
- peanuts and cashews
These are all foods that will encourage parasites to feel at home.
Antibiotics are also responsible for making you more vulnerable to parasites. Antibiotic kill bad AND good bacteria that you need to protect your intestines.
Foods To Kill and Prevent Parasites
You can make your “insides” a little less inviting to the little creatures by eating more of
- carrots
- sweet potatoes
- spinach
- cantaloupe
- squash
- rice products
High vitamin-C and antioxidant foods such as
- oranges
- broccoli
- strawberries
- melons
- Brussels sprouts
Pumpkin seeds, garlic, calmyrna figs, pomegranates, cranberry juice, and apple cider vinegar are good foods to include in your diet to control parasites. Parasitic infections set in when the body is alkaline.
Keeping the intestines slightly acidic may help prevent and treat an infection. Cranberry juice or diluted apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons to eight ounces of water) works well for this.
It is possible that your doctor hesitates to diagnose you with parasites.

“parasitic infections set in when the body is alkaline”
That does not sound right. My understanding is disease cannot live in an alkaline environment.
@Peggy
thank you for bringing this to our attention. This article is in fact incomplete.
The acid /alkaline diet is a complex subject, as different organs and fluids in the human body have different PH levels. They each have a delicate balance to maintain for optimal health. The body can be too acidic, it can also be too alkaline…Parasites can live in both
From my own research (no, I’m not qualified), I’ve found that the acid/alkaline balance probably does not affect your body the way it is commonly understood in alternative health circles. When the body is too acidic, it reacts by immediately robbing your bones of calcium, to neutralize the acid. This is a real concern for people who consistently put their bodies into an “acidic” state, but only because it weakens your bones, rather than because it harms organs. The “acidic state” does not last very long, because your body corrects it, to the detriment of your bone health.
Alkalinity is confusing because some doctors associate alkalinity as a sign of disease. However, this would be like claiming a fever is the cause of your flu. The fever is obviously your body’s natural way to kill bacteria (by cooking the little bugs!). In the same way, your body becomes alkaline when you are sick as a response to sickness–to throw the balance off and attack (bacteria, parasitic, etc) invaders.
As has been noted with urinary tract infections, high acidity or high alkalinity will kill the bacteria. It appears that one is not necessarily “better” than the other, as far as the effectiveness of killing invaders. High-acidity is only a problem in the long-term (if you consistently stress your body in this way), for problems such as osteoporosis.
High-acidity foods are not necessarily acidic throughout the entire digestion process, and some acids in fruits and vegetables are necessary to release the vitamins and minerals and make them easier for your body to extract.
